Alright people, it's James posting for Sasha (she is a little constrained due to a few probes and hoses, and sticking in her). At about 2100 the staff began inducing labor. She is hooked up to oxytocin (pitocin), saline, and magnesium sulfate (to prevent preeclamptic seizures). It took a few tries to get the IV in, but she's a trooper and handled it without any tears this time. What a tough girl... I'm sure our little one will be just as tough. They had to manually break her water, but the little crochet looking tool wasn't used. Instead an internal heartbeat monitor probe looking thing is hooked up inside of the sack, which is more accurate, but instead of a gush there is a little trickle. Sasha describes it like she feels there is a constant gush.
It may take a few hours before she gets ready for pushing, so we will patiently sit here and wait. Maybe she will hold out long enough for Mrs. Deb and Chris to get here. We estimate their arrival to be around 7 or 8 am. Our doctor's name is also Sasha (so was our dietary lady's), so there is a triple threat of Sasha's in this hospital. I only thought I had enough in me to handle one, turns out I'm a trooper too. She is still adamant about not having an epidural, but if any woman can give birth without it, my beautiful wife can!
As for me, I'm so jacked up about being a daddy again! I can't wait for this little girl to get here. As many of you know, I've wanted another little girl since Maci. I know you all have been patiently waiting for updates, and this blog, but hang in there. If anything develops, I'll send out a mass text to everyone who has been following us. Till then, get some sleep, and we'll do our part here.

# 11
Sorry this is a day late...yesterday was kind of hectic. As of right now we are waiting to hear from one of the doctor's from our high risk clinic..We have had some changes, but because we are seeing different doctor's everyday they all have a different opinion which is becoming very frustrating!!! I just want to see my doctor who knows our situation and knows what is going on.
James went home yesterday to do some laundry for us..since they wont allow me to wear regular clothes, only wear pajamas...and I only have so many pairs of pajamas. So he goes home a few times a week to wash some clean clothes for us :)
We are counting down the days until Little Miss Secret arrives..only 3 days!!!! But were still praying for her to come on her own before they induce me.

The 10th Day
We got some news today..My high risk doctor came in to see us this morning and said due to my lab results they will be inducing me on Wednesday February 29th! That is unless she decides to come on her own before. They want to get me as close to 36 weeks as possible. I would love for her to come on her own before so it is less stressful to her, but we will follow the doctors orders since they know what is best.
James is super excited that they are inducing us on the 29th at 12am! He has been hoping for a leap year (day) baby the entire pregnancy. I on the other hand do not think it is as exciting..Who only wants a birthday every 4 years?? So he is saving all of his pennies and has been throwing them in the wishing well, hoping his wish comes true LOL.
"Secret" is doing well, she has slowed down her movements lately which they say could be due to size and preparing to make her grand entrance! We are so excited and can not wait to meet our little girl whenever she decides to come!!!!

Day #9
I woke up this morning to a sinus infection...but I figured I was going to catch something living in a hospital for 8 days. They did give me antibiotics so hopefully I will feel better tomorrow! I don't want to be sick if/when I deliver this little girl.
Doctors are still monitoring me for preeclampsia, but it is becoming more frustrating on our end since we don't see the same doctor two days in a row! We are getting different stories from different doctors and it doesn't make it easy to know who to follow. So we are hoping for some more news tomorrow...and praying that we see my high risk doctor!
I got my third IV today! My other two have fallen out, or they missed the vein and were just flushing fluids into my skin...NOT COMFORTABLE! So let's hope this one stays in until I get to go home.
Got another ultrasound of Little Miss "Secret" today..she is looking chunkier and chunkier every time we get to see her. She is doing great from what the nurses say which makes James and I happy :)
Had some visitors today which always makes the day go by quicker. We are so thankful to have made some awesome friends here who are willing to come sit in a hospital and visit with us!

35 WEEKS!
Today quite frankly sucked...James had work and class so he did not make it back to the hospital until around 8pm. It makes the days extra long when he has to leave for such a long period of time. On top of that I am beyond restless and finally had a breakdown..but we only have one more week here and then we get to go home! So we just have to stay positive knowing this is the best thing we can do for the baby. But I can not wait to sleep in my own bed, and be in my own house with my stuff ,and love on my four legged kids!
On a brighter note, Kassi and Ashton came to visit before they headed back out of town....that little boy can make anyone smile! He came in and asked "are you feeling better yet?" I tried to explain that Aunt Sasha is not sick, we are here because the baby has to be watched...but that went over his head and he continued to ask me to come home and play with him! It breaks my heart that I can't play with him at home but I told him maybe next time when he comes back the baby will be here and we will all be home and can play :) He was so excited he picked her out two outfits from the store today..I can't wait for him to meet her!
The doctors have been concerned with me having preeclampsia but the test results have come back ok and for now we are in the clear. So as long as everything stays good we will get to go home next Wednesday/Thursday.
James went home today to see the dogs and he said they were so sad and clung to him..especially Louie. Harvin is angry with us for leaving him for so long and it breaks my heart! I wish they would allow animals to come visit!

The 7th Day
Well it has officially been a week since I have been living in a hospital. Nothing too eventful today..James went back to work so I was here alone until about 1 o'clock when Kassi and Ashton showed up. He came running in with flowers in his hand "I got these for you!" It was the cutest thing ever! Kassi got me some cherry pie since I said I wanted some yesterday and I am so excited to dive into it! They hung out with me all day so I wouldn't be totally alone..we played go fish, matching, and coloring! Ashton asked me if I could come home now and play with him and it broke my heart..I would love to go home and play with him!
Tomorrow will be 35 weeks, so we have made it another week with her cooking :) She is going to be one tough lady when she makes her grand entrance! Doctor says if I make it to 36 weeks I get to go home!

Day 6
I woke up bright and early today due to some heavy contractions so we were hopeful that today was going to be the day...turns out she changed her mind. She has made some progress, she has dropped down and is at 0 station (fully engaged in my pelvis)..poor girl will probably be born with a cone head from being stuck in there so long, but that is totally ok with us!
We had an ultrasound today and she looked great! She is measuring at 4 pounds 15 ounces, so only one more ounce until she is 5 pounds! The radiologist said that if she was to stay in until full term she would probably be 7 1/2 pounds! On the ultrasound we were able to see her make a bowl movement (she peed hehe) which makes me very happy because that just assures us her kidneys are strong and healthy! Not that we had any doubt but its always nice to be reassured that she is perfect!
I am still contracting every 3-5 minutes, so we are just waiting for my water to break for the "active labor" to kick in. Nurse says the pressure of her being so low should help, so for now it is still a waiting game.
James does have to go back to work tomorrow which is going to stink because I will be all alone during the days. But we are so thankful that Kassi and Ashton are in town right now helping us out with the dogs, so James is able to stay with me at the hospital in the evenings. I think we both are going a little stir crazy in this little room and are ready to go home with our little girl in hand!
Thank you all for your continued prayers for our family!!
